L’oreal Silkissime Eyeliner Review – Cobalt Blue

I hope you are in the pink of health and slaying it as usual. Talking about slaying I just noticed that even the smallest of things can make you stand out from the rest. Like a bright lipstick, colored mascara or even a bright eyeliner. Yup! Just a pop of that bright color can do the trick. Today I will be talking about L’oreal Silkissime Eyeliner which I showed you people in my Nykaa haul. Click here to check it out.

What they claim – Indulge your eyes in silk. Glide on smooth intensity with our first silk inspired liquid pencil. Introducing Silkissime by Infallible. Our smudge-proof formula lasts for up to 16-hours of intense color from dusk until dawn.

How I apply – I stretch my eye lid a bit from the outer corner and swipe the pencil gently over it.

Shade – I have L’oreal Silkissime Eyeliner in the shade Cobalt Blue

Color & pigmentation – The name itself is self explanatory. It is a beautiful cobalt blue color. Dark yet so bright that it tends to uplift your mood instantly. It is super pigmented, just a single swipe is enough for the color to show.

Stay – L’oreal Silkissime Eyeliner stays all days long. I did not check the 16 hours stay as I do not apply it for that long. But the stay is pretty awesome.

Texture – L’oreal Silkissime Eyeliner is very creamy and soft. You need to take care that you do not put too much pressure or else you will break the point of the pencil like I did 😳 😳 (How stupid, right? Gosh! So people were actually right. I do have a heavy Punjabi hand)

Fragrance – None as such.

Transfer – It does dry pretty quickly and does not smudge or transfer. However, people with hooded eyes like mine need to be cautious. Hold a few seconds before opening your eyes otherwise you will get a bit of product on your crease area.

Packaging & Quantity – L’oreal Silkissime Eyeliner comes in a paper packaging with translucent cover. Seriously L’oreal? You could have done better. Pencil body is in the color of the liner with a gold strip at the top. The cap is transparent and you can see the tip through it. The sad part is that you need to sharpen the pencil. You get 1.1 gm of product.

Price – Rs. 575 (I got it in sale for Rs.518 from nykaa.com)

L’oreal Silkissime Eyeliner in Cobalt Blue is a beautiful intense yet bright color. You will instantly fall in love with it the moment you swipe it. It is creamy and glides on very swiftly. So do take care that you do not apply too much pressure. It is super pigmented, does not smudge and the stay is quite impressive. However, the packaging could have been better and also you need to sharpen the pencil which is a huge waste of product. Especially making the tip pointy leads to a lot of product wastage. Hence, it is very difficult to get a wing with it.

Overall I like the L’oreal Silkissime Eyeliner in the shade Cobalt Blue. Would definitely recommend it. 😎 😎
