The weather here in Delhi, India has started to change. I noticed the sun sets early and it starts getting dark outside by 6:30-6:45 in the evening. Point being, I have even lesser time to do my chores and even lesser time to spend on myself.

I am usually in a rush most of the times and I don’t have time to wash my hair every single day. But with hair like mine you just can’t skip shampooing or else you will end up with flat, oily, lifeless hair. Are you one of my kind? Then keep reading because I am going to review something which you really NEED IN YOUR LIFE!!

What they claim – Batiste refreshes your hair between washes, leaving it feeling gorgeously clean and fresh with added Body and texture. No water required! With a range of products to choose from, Batiste makes every day a fabulous hair day. Its also great for use as a styling aid as it adds texture and grip.

How I apply – Shake it really well before every pump. Part hair, keep one hand as shield to protect face and spray from another on the parting created. Rub the product till is disappears.

Color & pigmentation – It is white in color but not pigmented at all. The product is soaked in by the oily scalp. You won’t even notice that anything was sprayed.

Stay – Keeps your scalp oil free 7-8 hours. I could test it for these many hours only.

Texture – It has a creamy powdery texture. It does give texture to your flat hair so it does feel a little voluminous.

Fragrance – It has a very light fragrance but it can bother some. Used to bother me initially. I think I am accustomed to it now 😛

Packaging & Quantity – It comes in a sturdy steel (*I think :P) bottle with a white push cap. The bottle itself is pretty and travel friendly. You get 200 ml of product.

Price – Rs. 649 ( I got it for 584 from nykaa sale 😀 )

This is my first dry shampoo and I admit that I did struggle with it initially. So I will let you know what to do and what not to do.

Do’s

  1. Shake well before every pump.
  2. Rub well with fingers so that the product gets absorbed.
  3. Apply it from a distance (at least 30 cm) else you will definitely get a head ache.
  4. Keep one hand as a shield to cover your face.

Don’ts

Clearly the opposite of dos 😛 😛 😀

You can also use it for styling as it gives texture to hair. I like to wash my hair the next day as I don’t like the texture that lingers on. It does not give you instant result like in 5 minutes but by the time you leave home it will get absorbed and your hair will look fresh as washed. It gives your hair a fresh and little voluminous look.

The review is based on usage on 2nd day hair. (Too oily a scalp to test on 3rd,4th.. day hair 😳 😳 )

I am definitely getting one of these when I run out of this one. May be I will try another one from their range.

    1. I don’t feel so. I did not face any change in the hair fall process or for that matter in its natural shine or anything. Plus I do not use it daily. However, every skin type is different and it may react differently for different people. This is true for any product. So in case you feel so please stop using it immediately 🙂

Nicely reviewed Anumeha.I also used to get oily hair on the next day after washing my hair but then I read that the more we shampoo the more oily our scalp becomes so I started using natural ways to cleanse my scalp so that I won’t bombard my scalp with chemicals everyday and the result is that now I shampoo my hair after 3 days and my hair is not at all oily.Dry shampoos are loaded with chemicals and now that I have decided to keep my hair chemical free as far as possible I decide to stay away from such products.I have heard great reviews about Batiste dry shampoo and you also seem to have great views about it . Nicely reviewed.

  16. I am your kind 😀 I have tried Bblunt one and it did not do anything on my hair. However I want to try this, i’ll try getting a small bottle of this. There is nothing worse than a flat crown..hair stuck to scalp eww.

  25. I’ve tried the travel sized version of this dry shampoo, and I loved it because my hair gets oily too if I don’t wash it every day, but I only wash my hair every 2-4 days. I need to buy the full size now!
