Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color Review – HD Love

I picked up a couple of things from the Revlon counter in lifestyle store. If you follow me on Instagram you’d know what all 😉 😉 I also got a cute little vanity case with it which too I shared there. This post is about their Ultra HD Matte Lipstick. Keep on reading to know what it is like 🙂

How I apply – Prep lips. Take the doe foot applicator and apply it on upper lip and then the lower. Build it up as required. Quick Tip: Never ever smack your lips while applying a liquid lipstick especially when your are wearing a matte one.

Color & pigmentation – Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color in HD Love is a very pretty bright red shade. It is highly pigmented. One swipe is enough, gives you an opaque look but I like to go over and apply it 😛 😀

Shade – HD Love

Stay – Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color stays put for 5-6 hours and fades out evenly, leaving your lips stained uniformly. So someone who is seeing you from a distance still thinks that you have lipstick on 😉

Texture – It is very creamy and velvety, extremely moisturising. It does not dry completely matte instantly and has a little sheen to it. So those who dread from matte lipsticks due to those dry patchy lips go grab this one. And those who want a pure matte look please stay away from it 😛

Fragrance – Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color has a sweet scent of whipped vanilla and cream mango. More like a candy or milk shake. Me likey 😀

Packaging & Quantity – Lower body is a frosted glass flat and rectangular container with curved corners and I quite like it. The color peeps through it. It has the flat rectangular doe foot applicator with silver (metallic) holder. It is the basic screw cap. The wand is not too big but the application is pretty seamless. Overall the packaging is quite travel friendly. You get 5.9 ml of product.

Transfer – It is not transfer proof or smudge proof 😦 Even the slightest of finger touch will make it bleed. Highly recommend applying a lip liner.

So while Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color does transfer but it fades off evenly. So even when its leaving your lips it does not make them patchy. Needless to say, it is matte so you need to prep your lips. The stay is pretty awesome. It is very creamy and moisturising. It does not dry completely matte instantly and has a bit of sheen to it. It has a sweet fragrance, not the one that would bother though. It is on the pricey end but I really love the formula as it won’t make your lips go dry. Love the color HD LOVE, a very bright red shade.

  24. Great review! I have 2 colours in this line : a red one and a mauve-pink . I love them. They take a while to dry down but you get a good matte finish that isn’t super drying. I’ve heard some beauty vloggers complain about it not being long wearing but I feel as if there is a trade off with liquid lipsticks, if you want really long wearing it tends to be very dry. I prefer sone moisture even if I need to re apply after 4 or 5 hours.
