Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner Review | Electro Shock | Lazer Green

I know the Maybelline Hyper Matte Liquid Liner was a total disappointment for me. But I still love Maybelline for their other products. I actually love a lot of them. The one I will be talking about today is Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner. I bought this in two shades and I like them both for the price they are 😀 😀

What they claim – This highly intense electrifying eyeliner makes your eye stand out.

  • It is smudge free eyeliner and dries in 10 seconds.
  • The eyeliner is highly pigmented to give your eyes an intense shiny look.
  • This applicator allows you to control the thickness of the eyeliner.
  • It stays for up to 24 hours.
  • Just one sweep is enough to create the dazzling eyes.

How I apply – Shake well. Open and wipe of the excess from the brush with the edge of the bottle. Start from the inner corner and apply a thin line by following natural lash line. Draw a wing with whatever is left on the brush. Dip in for more and build up as desired.

Color & pigmentation – Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner are highly pigmented and even one swipe gives good color pay off. But I like to apply in strokes as I find that easier and build it up. It gives a glossy finish when dried. Both the colors are dark versions of their family, that is, dark green and dark blue but with a sheen.

Shade – Electro Shock – blue

Lazer Green – green

Stay – Cannot verify the 24 hr claim since I like to wash my face before I sleep 😛 but Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner sure stays put throughout the day till you rub your eyes, of course 😛

Texture – It is a liquid eye liner not too thick. Dries off and settles to a glossy finish.

Transfer – Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner dries off pretty quickly but meanwhile shut those beautiful eyes (especially the hooded ones like mine). Once dried, it does not transfer.

Applicator – It is pretty good with a thin brush head, does the job well. Appropriate length gives you full control to create that perfect wing 😉 .

Packaging & Quantity – Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner comes in the usual pyramid like packaging. It has a basic plastic body with colored base and black cap. It is travel friendly. You get 3 g of product.

I love this range of Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner. Both the colors I picked are absolutely gorgeous and very pigmented. Even though with glossy finish, they can be used on daily basis. Dries off pretty quickly and once dried this thing does not budge, does not smudge and stays put throughout the day. It is not waterproof, however when I washed my face it did not go all over my face making it all blue and green but flaked off instead. So I kind of liked that it flakes off. For people who constantly touch their eyes, this can be a problem.
