So the other day I got a message from sugar cosmetics and obviously I had to check their site out for their new launch. I was pretty excited but took a while before ordering. I liked more than 1 shade and wanted to know whether to invest in it or not.

They have 10 shades in this range and I finally ordered 4 of them with no swatches online till then 😦 but I am glad none of the shades that I got actually disappointed me. So let’s get started with the review.

How I apply – Outline the lip with the wand following the natural shape and then fill in the rest of the lips. Reapply if necessary.

Color & pigmentation – Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks are super pigmented, one swipe is all you need to get that color popping. They turn out to be completely matte post drying. however, the color fades one notch down after drying as compared to when it is wet.

Shade – There are 10 shades in this range out of which I picked 4 (difficult decisions of my life 😛 )  I really like the names and the fact that they have described the shade adjacent to the name.

Stay – It starts to disappears from inner lips within 5 hours. But then you can reapply at the spot and get going.

Texture – Smudge Me Not is in liquid form but dries out to be completely matte. During the drying process it is extremely stretchy on the lips but that settles after sometime. It does not streak or feather or leave your lips patchy.

Packaging & Quantity – The outer packaging of Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks is similar to other Sugar products. It has a graphic design which is colorful and peppy. The container however is pretty simple, transparent glass tube so you can easily see which shade it is. It has a black cap with Sugar logo and text. The bottom of the tube has the shade name and code. The size of the tube looks pretty small but you get 4.5 ml of product.

Transfer – Once it dries, not even a bit. This thing does not budge. Its like glued to your lips. It did not transfer at all when I had coffee but it cannot take too oily food either.

Applicator – The length of the wand is apt. The shape of the applicator is similar to doe foot but is more flat paddle like. It is very flexible and gives full control making it really easy to apply the lipstick.

The one thing that bothered me though was that there is no ingredient list mentioned anywhere. Also, it was a pain to remove the swatches from my hand and the lipstick from my lip line as nothing seemed to work. (No oil, no makeup remover)

Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks are extremely drying so you need truckload of lip balm 😛 No seriously! Any liquid lipstick is drying but this is like super drying on lips. Although, after it sets it does get a little comfortable on the lips. It takes a bit to dry but then it turns completely matte. This is certainly kissproof (transferproof) 😉 😉 It has a reasonable stay of about 5 hours but it starts to disappear from the inner lips. This does not feather and is not streaky or patchy at all. One swipe is good enough as it is very pigmented. I love the applicator and the amount of control it gives. These are pretty affordable and travel friendly too.

You should definitely have at least one of these Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks in your vanity.

    I already ordered Tan Fan, Brazen Raisin, Rust Lust & Wine&Shine…. but was greedy for more and had a tough time choosing between Brink of Pink & Plum Yum…. I finally found someone who swatched it together….u made my decision easy…am gng with Plum Yum! :*

    Love d swatches, your swatches look really up close and real but also slightly different in color from other swatches also…..and love the background u have used for clicks..

    I also bought brink of pink after having seen one of your pictures..😬😬 The shade is pretty but the formula is very drying. Nonetheless, I give more preference to the shade, hence satisfied. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
