The Face Shop Sheet Masks Review | Peony | Lingzhi | Longan | Calendula

Sheet masks are a craze currently and yes for all the obvious reasons. They are so easy and convenient to use, they give that instant nourishment your skin is craving for, the results are great.

I wanted to try some from the time Innisfree was launched on Nykaa. Somehow I did not 😐 So when they launched The Face Shop and the offer was buy 5 get 5 free, I was bound to buy them 😛 😛

I have a total of 10 face masks, 4 of which will be reviewed here 🙂

What they claim – The Oriental Herb Extracting Process is our special way of extracting ingredients from oriental herbs. The herbs are ground, roasted and decocted in the traditional way.

The air pockets within the sheet contain a plenitude of nutritional essence, providing natural moisture and nourishment to skin.

  • The mask sheet drenched in serum with the vibrant life energy of Peony provides skin with illuminating radiance.
  • The mask sheet drenched in serum with Lingzhi Extract firms and helps improve the resilience of sagging skin.
  • The mask sheet drenched in serum with nutrient-rich Longan revitalizes and nourishes tired skin.
  • The mask sheet drenched in serum with soothing Calendula helps smooth dry, rough, dead surface cells.

How I apply – Wash face and pat dry. Apply toner. Shake The Face Shop sheet mask packet and tear it carefully from the grove. Take out the mask from the packaging and apply fitting the eyes, mouth and nose in the area provided. The extra serum that is left in the packet can be applied to the neck area. Wait for 15 minutes and remove. Pat gently to absorb the remaining essence into the skin.

Color & pigmentation – Most of them are milky in color and does not leave any coloured residue as such. However, Lingzhi was muddy in color.

Texture – The Face Shop sheet masks are drenched in serum and slimy to touch.

Fragrance – Longan smells fruity but can be really strong for some. In the other three I did not notice any strong fragrance as such.

Packaging & Quantity – These masks come in this basic rectangular packaging with a woody background and and the main ingredient’s picture displayed upfront. There are two groves that guide you where to tear from. All the ingredients and details are mentioned at the back. Also, Longan had too much solution left in the packet. This is a single-use face mask.

It feels really cold when it is on. TBH, I felt like dozing off 😛 I simply loved these sheet masks from The Face Shop. So much that I made my parents use it. And even they were so happy with the effects. It won’t make you look any fairer but the glow is really evident. It instantly illuminates the skin. It firms and tightens the skin. You can feel it on removing the sheet mask. Skin feels hydrated. I did not face any breakouts post using this. It also says that the formula is without added parabens. I personally did not like Calendula mask that much. So won’t be buying it again.

Also, it is a temporary thing and you cannot escape the CTM routine whatsoever. Nonetheless it makes your skin feel so refreshed and alive and plump and radiant.

So, if you have a function to attend then do use this before moisturising. It will make the perfect canvas for that flawless makeup.

Definitely buying more of these The Face Shop sheet masks.
