Colorbar Lash Illusion Mascara Duo Review

Even on days when you have no liner on but decide to curl those lashes and put on that mascara, it really opens up the eyes. There are days when I want crazy voluminous lashes and then those when I just want a simple look and slightly lengthening my lashes would suffice. So when I saw Colorbar Lash Illusion Mascara Duo online I was pretty excited. It has two ends, one for volume and the other for length (sounds like something I want 😛 )

Also, I do not prefer to use waterproof mascara for everyday purpose. Solely because there is a lot of tugging and pulling to take the waterproof mascara off. So I prefer those only when I feel that there is a chance of encountering anything related to H2O (water) around my eyes. Yeah! I remember my chemistry 😛

What they claim – Opens up your eyes and give your eye makeup that perfect polished finishing touch, with this wonder from the house of Colorbar.

How I apply – Shake the tube and unscrew. Take the wand out and apply on upper lashes in a wiggling motion and then on lower lashes. Dip for more.

Color & pigmentation – Both the sides of Colorbar Lash Illusion Mascara Duo are black in color and equally pigmented. The don’t make your lashes overly black but just give them texture.

Texture – Colorbar Lash Illusion Mascara Duo is really thick. After few uses the wand had clumps on its head part 😦

Packaging & Quantity – This tube comes with a dual head, sturdy black plastic body. Both the wands are attached to the central silver metallic piece. On each side, the function is labelled on it (Lengthening – Volumizing) and the silver part has the name Colorbar Lash Illusion Mascara Duo written on it. The wand is a thick spoolie brush. Nothing too exciting about the packaging. However, it is really convenient to travel with. You get 4 ml of product.

Colorbar Lash Illusion Mascara Duo is pretty okay for everyday use. It makes the eyelashes look naturally thick and long, opens up your eyes but don’t expect anything dramatic here. So if you plan on doing a no makeup makeup look this could help. But I personally love fuller lashes which it fails to attain. I like the fact that it is a duo product so I coat one layer of the lengthening side and then add volume to my lashes from the other end 😛 😛 You can just use one if you don’t want both at the same time. I did not face any lash shedding so I can say it is quite gentle. It is very travel friendly so just keep it in your bag and you are set :D. It is not very heavy on the eyes. It comes off really easily with any makeup remover. Definitely did not irritate my eye.

It is very thick and the product can easily be seen accumulated at the end of the wand which I did not like. In short it is a bit clumpy to use.  I did not find it having much of a water resistant quality either. You want to avoid using it if you are going anywhere near water as this is not waterproof.

  6. I’ll give this a skip! Already having loads of mascaras to finish first. The lash sensational is good, not over the top (for me). I love almost all mascaras by maybelline. You should give it a try for sure. 🙂🙃

  14. Maybe i shouldn’t be posting here – lol am a guy. But this is not for me though – my sisters’ love this product and love to brag about it. They say it is exceptionally good for a day-day use. Plus, they say it also is surprisingly cheap for it’s peculiar packing. Thought it would be nice to share their thoughts. Anyways, the review was fantastic.
