I have ENOUGH lipsticks, said no girl EVERRR!!

But this time I honestly did not have a brown shade in my vanity 😦 😦 . Seriously! Yes 😐 😐 For the sole reason that I always felt it washed me out and I looked sick and dull in them. Thanks to snapchat filters that made me realise that dark shades actually look good on me 😛 😛 (On that note, come join me on snapchat -> msmeehnia)

So finally I found a shade in the brown family that actually looked good on me 😀 😀

But can I continue with it? Let’s find out 😀

How I apply – I first prep my lips (really important with matte lipsticks). Blot to remove excess lip balm. Apply the lipstick from bullet and bite onto a tissue paper. Then reapply the lipstick.

Color & pigmentation – AVON True Color Perfect Matte Lipstick is neither too dark nor too light. Apt medium brown shade but you really need to swipe 2-3 times and build up the color to get the desired intensity.

Shade – Chocolate Crush P504

Stay – AVON True Color Perfect Matte Lipstick stays for 3-4 hours and then it starts fading from the inner lips in a really patchy manner 😦

Texture – It is creamy to apply and settles semi matte. But the finish is quite cakey 😦  if you go over a lot of times to get the desired intensity, you can actually see the product accumulating on the middle of your lips.

Packaging & Quantity – I kind of liked the packaging of AVON True Color Perfect Matte Lipstick. It has a complete glossy black sturdy plastic body separated with a matte belt with AVON engraved in it. The inner body is matte black. It comes in the standard bullet form, twist up and down mechanism. You get 4.0 g of product.

One thing is for sure that I absolutely love this color on me. Which I never thought I would. I always thought browns washed me out. The texture is really creamy to apply and settles semi matte but the stay is not that good. It start to fade from the inner lips first and ends up looking patchy. The pigmentation is not that great either so you need to apply quite a few times to get the desired color which ends up settling in fine lines. With regular touch ups it may work fine but I ain’t got no time for that so I won’t be buying it again.

You can definitely check out this range “AVON True Color Perfect Matte Lipstick” especially if you want to try some different shade that you otherwise won’t buy (obviously considering the price – Get it on discount)

  3. The colour looks great on fresh application but the post 4 hr scene is really pathetic. Thanks. I will just stay away from this. I hate when my lipstick wears off so soon and so drastically.

  17. Baby, brown can never wash you out. Unless it is a very pale brown shade!! I am a huge sucker for brown lipsticks, and my entire lipstick collection is half filled with brown shades only. The colour suits you so well, btw. 😘

Me too I’ve never tried dark browns, darker shades I always prefer going in maroon family. 🙂 Avon lipsticks would be my first lipsticks I ever used, I’ve got quite a few of them and i’m also not that fan of the matte one. the only lipstick I like from them is the shade Hibiscus, which is not matte , so I like it. Its a nice pink and gives me that natural pink look which is why I like it. Anyways, the color looks good on you. 🙂 and p.s. I envy your long hair. I’ve been trying to grow and its still stuck at shoulder length. 😦
