I got my hair highlighted last year and it was a pretty big deal for me. You can read all about my experience and the details like from where I got it done here.
I definitely wanted it to stay for long without damaging my hair. Because we all know that coloring and bleaching makes your hair more dry and rough. So I am the lucky one here as I didn’t really face major issues post coloring. Why? It’s all in the genes babyyy 😀 😀 (if you got it flaunt it 😛 )
But I sure do give credit to these two here. So let’s just talk about them already ❤ ❤
What they claim – A shampoo that mildly removes impurities from hair but doesn’t ward off your hair color. L’Oreal Professionnel Vitamino Color Shampoo with Incell Hydro-Resist technology double locks the hair color for a long lasting shine without making the hair texture dry and rough.
- Water repel technology to protect colour
- Enhances colour and doesn’t fade the shade
- Helps hair stay vibrant for longer
L’Oreal Professionnel Vitamino Color Masque is specially created to protect coloured hair or chemically treated hair. The masque protects hair against daily exposure to sun’s harmful rays and pollution. The unique masque creates a lightweight shield on each and every strand of hair to provide ultimate protection.
- Incell Hydro-technology provides long lasting radiance
- The masque creates a lightweight shield on hair for prolonged protection
- Provides intense shine and vibrancy for coloured hair.

How I apply – Stand under the shower (head upside down) , squeeze out some L’Oreal Professionnel Vitamino Color A-OX Shampoo in one palm. Rub it in between the two hands and gently apply on the scalp. Massage with finger tips (no nails), wash and reapply if required. I mostly go twice with this. I have a super oily scalp.
Squeeze water out of hair and scoop out some L’Oreal Professionnel Vitamino Color A-OX Masque with index finger (you are bathing, so I am assuming that it is clean 😛 😛 ). Rub it between the palms and apply it gently from mid hair length to tip.
Color – Both the shampoo and the masque are light pink in color.
Texture – L’Oreal Professionnel Vitamino Color Shampoo is very mild, is a bit runny. L’Oreal Professionnel Vitamino Color Masque is more on the creamier side.
Fragrance – Nothing that would bother, very mild.
Ingredients –

Packaging & Quantity – The packaging for both L’Oreal Professionnel Vitamino Color A-OX Shampoo & Masque is pretty basic. Shampoo comes in a light pink bottle. It has a sturdy plastic body with a click open and shut cap. Masque comes in a light pink tub so you have to scoop out product. This too has a plastic body but with a screw cap. You get 250 ml of shampoo and 196 gm of masque.
Price –
- L’Oreal Professionnel Vitamino Color A-OX Shampoo – Rs. 575
- L’Oreal Professionnel Vitamino Color A-OX Masque – Rs. 675
I would definitely recommend L’Oreal Professionnel Vitamino Color A-OX Shampoo & Masque as I can see the highlight color is still going strong so it definitely locks it in and protects the color from fading. The shampoo is pretty mild so I prefer going in twice as I have pretty oily scalp. I love the masque as well as it makes my hair silky smooth and shiny. I did not face any hair fall issues with this either. The only down side to this is that it provides no volume whatsoever and my hair lays flat the very same evening. Dry shampoo is my only saviour, phew!
So people with not so oily scalp can happily use it without any flatty-datty issues 😛 😛 and for people like me it still gives a nice wash and protects your hair and color. So I’d say go for it 😀 😀

True that!
Well, this was my first experience with any sort of coloring related to hair. I am more relaxed now and might just try a lighter shade for next time 😛
Thank you 🙂

Mine are also highlighted only. But if you have oily hair then it might just weigh everything down 😐
It is very mild plus no volume

I have strictly stayed away from hair colors because my father dislikes them :’D Although I do wanna have some highlights but I fear about hair health as I have thin hair 😦

TBH it does affect the hair health. But its better to get highlights before trying out the global one. Also, you need to pay extra attention on your hair then 😀
As for the first time I’d recommend going with a copper shade that does not look gaudy but at the same time gives a gradient effect 🙂
