I told you I had to review few products before they completely disappear from the pans 😛 😛 So yeah, this is one such product. TBH I did not like it so much initially but then it grew on me. And now when I am saving this for review purpose and using the Maybelline two way cake I realise how much I like this and how much I dislike the Maybelline one 😐 😐 The later gives me a white cast which I am absolutely not okay with.
Psst.. Don’t forget to check the Giveaway here(valid for the month of July 2017)

What they claim – Achieve the gorgeous bare-face makeup look that looks fresh, flawless and all natural! Introducing the SUGAR As Nude As It Gets SPF 15 Compact, that gives your skin a natural, luminous yet matte finish with its ultra-lightweight velvet formulation. It’s difficult to predict what you’ll actually fall in love with more – its uber-portable design, its concealed sponge applicator or its weightless formulation that provides buildable coverage you’ll never do without again. Our guess? All these and more! Now available in 3 shades to suit your skin tone:
- 01 Latte (Light)
- 02 Cappuccino (Light-Medium)
- 03 Macchiato (Medium)
- Protects skin with patented Screen-Tech Technology while SPF15 provides UVA/UVB protection.
- Super lightweight with excellent shading.
- Velvet finish with homogeneous application.
- Oil and Mineral-oil free.
- Nano-ingredient free.
- Has Anti-oxidant benefits.
How I apply – 2 ways.
- With the sponge that came along with it. Take the product on the sponge, tap off the excess and dab it over. Then sweep a bit lightly and spread.
- With a brush. Swirl the brush in the product. Tap off the excess and lightly dab it over the face. Sweep where necessary. (I like this one better 😀 )
Color & pigmentation – Sugar As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact in shade 02 is great for light to medium (wheatish) skin tone. It does not look too white or cakey or patchy. The pigmentation is not much as it is of the sheer type but you can build it up a little. However the finish is really smooth.
Shade – 02 Cappuccino (Light-Medium)
Stay – Sugar As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact stays for good 4-5 hours and then a touch up is required.
Texture – Sugar As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact is finely milled and definitely does not give you a cakey look. It comes off really smooth and light weight.
Packaging & Quantity – The outer packaging is similar to other sugar products with abstract design consisting of a face. I love it, it is so chic. It has a sturdy hard plastic body in black with matte finish and S printed in an off white circle. Great thing is that the opening side is denoted with a dash (-) hence people like me can easily know which side to open 😛 😛 It comes with a sponge which is good enough but a brush would always be better. It is separated from the compact with a plastic separator. S is also engraved in the compact which really gives a nice look. I love the size and clarity of the mirror too. You get 9 g of product.
Price – Rs 699
I really had to review this baby before it was completely over 😛 Post the initial average liking for it, Sugar As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact really grew over me. And now that I have to go back to my maybelline one it makes me realise how much I liked this product. It does not give you that extra white or cakey look. It blends in so well that you don’t even feel its there. It is very light weight. Controls oil for 4-5 hours then you need a touch up 😛 Amazing part is that it consists of SPF15. This is great but you can’t skip your sunscreen. It won’t hide your blemishes so make sure you use your concealer first. It just gives you a my skin but better feeling which I am digging at the moment. Love the packaging, it is chic and travel friendly. Mirror is of appreciably good size.
People who love full coverage will not enjoy this so just give it a skip.
Rest of you who are looking for sheer to medium coverage, you should definitely check this out.
MM love – 4.5
I am planning on buying the Nykaa one next. And if I don’t like it better than this then obviously I am coming back to this 😛 😛 What do you guys think? Let me know in the comment section 😀 😀
