Face cleansers are something that I use on a regular basis and yes twice a day and at times (very few) thrice a day. This is like a necessity for me. Even if I go anywhere for a day or more, I like to carry the one that suits my skin type otherwise it can get really ugly for me. (Shh…Yeah I have tried) Owing to a super oily skin type I obviously reach out to the ones that have oil controlling ability but some of them strip off the moisture completely which is a big Nayyy 😐 😐
Let’s see how Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash performed 🙂
What they claim – Say good bye to acne with Neutrogena oil-free acne face wash. Gentle on your skin yet very tough on acne, the specialized oil-free formula gently cleanses your skin from deep within. It contains Salicylic acid which is known to get rid of acne and prevents future break outs. The gel based face wash lathers easily and effectively cleanses your skin. Get rid of dirt, oil and make up and pamper your skin with the heavenly touch of Neutrogena oil-free acne face wash.
Features :
- Effectively fights acne
- Non-drying
- Gel based face wash
- Residue free and oil free
- Dermatologically tested
- Wont clog pores
It is infused with special skin soothers which help prevent irritation. The non-drying formula will leave your skin feeling clean and rejuvenated.

How I apply – Splash water on face. Pump out one full press and lather between palms. Apply in circular motions covering the whole face. Rinse and pat dry.
Color & Texture – Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash is light orange in color and almost translucent. It feels gel like but is not sticky or slimy.
Fragrance – Nothing overpowering.
Shelf Life – 2 years
Packaging & Quantity – Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash comes in a pump dispenser with a white pump and transparent body. All the details are mentioned on the body itself. I like such a packaging since its easier to know when the product is about to end 😛 You get 175 ml of product.
Buy it from – You can easily get this from normal shops or buy it online from Nykaa.

Price – Rs. 549 (I bought it during the sale in Rs. 494)
Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash contains Salicylic acid which is known to get rid of acne and so I was very hopeful that it would do some good to my minor break out condition. But it neither helped me to get rid of the existing acne nor broke me out. If you have used an oil based makeup remover, then it might not lather that much but otherwise it lathers up just fine. It is non drying and does not strip off moisture from your skin. It helps to get rid of the gunk and oil but is not that effective in removing makeup as claimed. It is residue free and oil free and you do get the cleansed feeling post wash. But this is not one of the best Neutrogena products that I have tried so far. I like the pump packaging though but it does not look travel friendly.
MM love – 3.5

I’ve never been a loyal user of any face wash but there’s AHA Glow to which I’ve always gone back in case of breakouts 🙂
